I saw this blanket on Purl Bee and immediately fell in love. I mean, how could you not? I think the dove gray color and the staging is done beautifully. We needed a throw for our sofa, so I thought I’d give it a go. I got my color inspiration from this other Purl Bee pattern. Can you tell I love Purl Bee? ;D

Unfortunately, I made this blanket almost a year ago (before this blog), so I do not remember all the details..
Pattern: Purl Bee (click here for free pattern)
Yarns: Lion Brand Yarn – Wool-Ease Thick & Quick (colors that I remember: Fisherman, Blossom, Charcoal, & Eggplant).
Needle: I don’t remember.. ) :
Forgive the color in the above photo.. there was terrible lighting when the photo was taken and this is after I edited it in Photoshop. You can see the relative size of the blanket in that photo, though. It is quite big.
Fail 1: The blanket is huge. It’s definitely at least 7″ wider and longer than I had anticipated. I may or may not have knit a gauge when I started. Oops!
Fail 2: My pets chewed a hole through the charcoal part of the blanket. Every day I pray the hole doesn’t get bigger.
